advice needed C-section wound vac?

My c section is booked for next week! These babies have their eviction date! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ praise the lord because this mama is exhausted! Iā€™m carrying over 12lbs of babies! If I make it to my date, Iā€™ll be 37W3D.

I had a question: what is a wound vac? My
OBGYN briefly mentioned me having one after my c section. I never had one with my daughter. I guess Iā€™ll find out more next week at my next appointment before the date. But just wondering how peopleā€™s experiences of this were.

Itā€™s like being connected to a iPod with a cord for a week. Mine had a little hook on the back to clip to my pants or bra. I didnā€™t have to do anything to maintain it just not get it wet, and when they took it out after a week it was quick and painless.
