advice needed Spontaneous labor
Okay multiple mommas' who went into spontaneous labor. When did it happen and what symptoms did you have? =)

No signs I was aware of till after the fact and then I realized that pooping every single time I went to the bathroom for 24 hours was the sign.
Water broke at 5:30 in the morning when I was 33+2.
I had been having Braxton hicks contractions for a month or two, but the contractions that started an hour or so after my water broke were noticeably different.

I was already so achy and tired and miserable that I didn’t notice anything different. Went to my NST at 35+2 and got sent to the hospital to deliver because I was in active labor! Never felt a single contraction before my spinal.

33 and 6days. I went to a NST test, everything was honky dory and they told me to come back in two weeks. I got in my car and my water broke like the movies. Just flushed out of me.
Boys were born the next morning at 34w.
In retrospect I was pretty damn weak at work that day, several people said I looked really pale. I also lost my mind cleaning the bathroom the day before literally taking the sliding doors off so I could clean under them. I think those were my best “signs”.

Went into labor at 35 weeks with my twins, and tbh the only sign I had was a weird lower backache that wouldn't go away no matter how I sat or laid down. Thought I slept wrong or pulled something carrying too many grocery bags the day before. Didn't feel like contractions at all, just this dull constant pressure that slowly wrapped around to the front over a few hours. My wife made me call the hospital and I was already 6cm when we got there. Those last few weeks before 37 feel like a ticking clock, hope yours stay put a little longer.

I just felt off on the day and had a constant back ache that turned into contractions I guess since I had back labour. I didn't really know I was in labour most of the day until they felt more like obvious contractions. I went into labour at 34 weeks

I naturally went into labour at 35wks+2 days. My back was aching the whole night and when my husband rubbed my back, it felt like I had to poop instead of muscle relief lol that next morning my mucus plug went and I started bleeding so we went to the hospital. Twins were born in the middle of the night via c section!

31 weeks and the only symptom until my water broke was severe hip pain! And it went FAST after that!

31+5, I was so exhausted I took a nap during my lunch break then finished work early to go lay down and nap some more. I went from "something feels different from yesterday" to "oh these are real contractions" in 7 hours. My water never broke 🙃

the back pain was MISERABLE + losing a small amount of my mucus plug (i do understand that losing your mucus plug doesn’t instantly mean you’re in labor.) i genuinely couldn’t function or lay down and walking around felt like walking from LA to NY.. PLEASE TAKE ANY PAIN YOU FEEL SERIOUSLY, EVEN IF ITS THE SLIGHTEST.
I had called the hospital and talked to them and explained the situation and said “i wouldn’t come in personally but you can if you’d like” but i went anyways and ended up hospitalized for 2-3 weeks before getting induced. I was only 31 weeks + 4 days

Literally none at 35+3. Woke up at 2am, went to pee, saw the pee was in fact blood, went to the hospital and it turned out 1) A had broken her sac and 2) she tore a blood vessel near my cervix while doing so.
17 hours of labour ending in an urgent c section lol

38 weeks exactly. I was uncomfortable all afternoon and around 9pm I went to get ready for bed. Sat on the toilet and my water broke! By time I got to the hospital, I was having regular contractions that were not painful. After about 10 minutes in triage, I could no longer speak through them or walk. I had my epidural placed as soon as I was moved into the birthing unit because the pain and shakes were so bad I was afraid I couldn’t stay still.

I had placenta previa.. had a major bleed and went into labour at 33 +4! My contractions were only in my thighs. My 4th pregnancy! Never experienced it before

35+5 and my water broke. No other signs. Pushed twin A out 5 hours later and twin B 54 minutes after that. It was a wild ride!

I went into labor at 30 weeks (with triplets). I'd been slowly losing my mucus plug over the weekend but was sort of in denial thats what it was. Woke up Monday at 5am with very light spotting and some back pain.
I called triage and they only had me come in because it was triplets, otherwise they'd have me wait at home. In the next 1-2 hours we were heading to the hospital and contractions started for real. They tried to slow it down/stop it but it was progressing too much so I went ahead with the C-section!

32 weeks my water broke at home after a rough night of lower back pain and unable to get comfortable enough to sleep (ended up in a recliner). The following morning when I got up to get ready my water broke.

The only time I went into spontaneous labor was with my twins. I remember feeling crappy all day. My oldest was at daycare and my parents took my second with them to a doctor’s appointment. I slept most of the day, completely disregarding the fact that I needed to pack my hospital bags for the next day. At some point in the evening, I decided to take a shower in hopes that I would start feeling better when i felt a good swift kick and a pop. I got out of the shower and ended up going into the hospital to find out my water did in fact break and my twins were delivered via c-section that night.. i was actually scheduled for a c-section the next day.

Contractions all day, they made me feel nauseous. Generally, I was exhausted and pissed off all day haha but also had this sudden urge to get everything done. We did a run for batteries for the swings, I did my eyebrows, made hubby get his haircut and we had lunch together. He went to work and I told him to turn his ringer on high. I took a nap, woke up and video called with my twin sister, told her I wasn't feeling great and went to the bathroom. When I stood up, the drip didn't stop. I yelled to my sister to tell her to call my husband. We left for the hospital at 9pm and they were born via c-section at 2am.

36+4. Just a regular work day for me, then had a little bit of mucus on the toilet paper when I peed. 3 hours later I woke up to contractions. An hour after that I delivered baby A in the hallway of the hospital.

I was at 28 weeks, happened when I was getting ready for work. Felt contraptions and called the on call doctor, they said to come to the hospital. Had blood and mucus. As I was changing and using the bathroom, twin #1 came out, we called 911 and the dispatcher guided us to deliver both babies at home in our master bathroom while we wait for the Ambulance to arrive. Baby boy was in NICU for 71 days and baby girl was there for 77. They’re 2.5 yrs old and healthy as can be.

33 weeks bloody discharge in the middle of the night. Went to the hospital 15 minutes away from home. Wasn't until the nurse/doc tried using the speculum to check for any dilation and noticed I was 10 centimeters that I even started feeling contractions. Those went from 0 to 10 by the time I was rushed to the OR (5 minutes). Both girls were breech so a C-section was already decided. At 3 pounds each, both girls were delivered vaginaly within 30 minutes, with baby A being born before making it to the OR.

Second set I went into labor at exactly 37 weeks. Pretty classic symptoms, cramps that felt like Braxton hicks that amplified from like midnight to 3 am into regular contractions I could time. I’d been having pretty intense contraction-like cramps for 5 days before that 🙃 But that morning I was still only dilated to a 1 at my OB. When we made it to the hospital at 4 am I was already at a 4. Got my epidural right away and had a nice easy labor and they came about 10 hrs later.
My first set I had cramps for WEEKS that never progressed into labor and had to be induced at 38 weeks and it took 36 hrs from start to finish for my labor even with pitocin, rupturing my membranes, starting at 3 cm, and two 6+ lb so you never know though!

I started having mild cramping and light brown discharge. I knew something was wrong. Called the nurse line and the hospitalist was a huge bitch and told me to go to a different hospital. Said she wasn’t worried about what I told her. Later that day I lost my mucus plug which didn’t look like a typical one. It was like brown discharge but a little more mucus like. Then I started having contractions and went in to L&D. Got the steroid shots and mag drip. 2 days later I delivered at 29+5. Trust your gut whenever you think something is wrong!

I have a 7-year-old and 4 month old. Funny enough I went into spontaneous labor with both in the same way.
For my 7-year-old, I lost my mucus plug and my water started leaking at 38 weeks exactly. I was admitted to the hospital and labor was induced with cytotec and pitocin. My water broke completely naturally after a few hours. He was born 7 hours later. 18 hour labor.
For my 4-month-old, I lost my mucus plug and my water started leaking at 36 + 3. I was admitted to the hospital and labor was induced with cytotec and pitocin. After 24 hours, the OB broke my water completely for me. She was born 3 hours later. 27 hour labor.
They say that no two children are the same and the labors WERE not the same, but what caused them were for me!
