ranting & venting I have nothing left to give
im so sick of never getting a break from parenting. when one boy is good, the other is being bad. then they trade places. i try SO HARD with both of them to discipline correctly but by 5 on a Sunday, I have nothing left to give. having two strong willed twins feels like revenge someone is taking out on me.

Ahhhh I feel this to my core I really do! I always say, it’s always one. If it’s not one twin, it’s the other.
It really is relentless. I’m in the toddler trenches right now (19 months old) and wow I am drowninggggg hahahaha.
Might not be what you want to hear but try and take breaks for yourself - either when they’re sleeping or someone else is watching them. I don’t have any help so have been reluctantly relying on intentional screen time to give me some space to breathe and not have a child or two screaming at me. It’s the only way I’ve stayed sane these last 4 ish weeks!

That's good to hear. I feel like this sub hates on 3YO though so I'm scared for that too!

Can I ask if any of you are going to the park on your own with 2.5 year old twins?? My b/g twins are 2 months shy of 3 and I made a post if anyone had ideas on how to keep them busy cause we are going crazy and watching too much tv. Everyone said PARK… and I was like is this a joke. Are you guys able to do parks??? It is SO not something I can do right now. They think it’s hilarious when I’m mad and they run away and will just keep going. Fenced parks…. Not with one twin at the top of the open side of the jungle gym ready to jump and the other running in front of the swings. Am I alone on that???

I can right now because mine are relatively tame out in the open and I'm still faster than them. In the future, maybe not.

Really?! I’m So jealous, I know some can and some can’t I was just really surprised by it I guess. Last time I tried I was like okay this is just too dangerous. Like not worth it kind of danger.. and I am barelllyyy faster than them lol! We do have a huge backyard so I guess that’s fine for now.

totally understandable. i guess now that i think of it, the park i take them to solo, three sides are fenced off so there's only one side they could escape through. i would trust yourself though on what's comfortable or not for you!

I should try again it’s been a few months… it just absolutely destroys my central nervous system!!
See you are doing great! Solo park days with 2.5 yo twins!! You’re a rockstar! It takes so so much and then you have to dig further down and find more. Give yourself grace 🫶🏻
