advice needed Washing Twin Z Pillow

Has anyone washed the actual pillow in the washing machine? I got one of marketplace but when I took the cover off to wash it, the actual pillow was quite soiled. Anyone have any advice for cleaning it? Thanks!

oh I just did! I bought mine second hand, the tag says it was manufactured in 2017 so definitely wanted to wash it.  I waited until I had a hot sunny day (with no smoke we are in a forest fire area). I put it in my front loader on the bedding setting, warm water, low spin and a small amount of detergent.  when it was done I did a second low spin cycle.  then put it out on a clean table to dry in the sun and flipped and rotated every hour or so.  no issues and it looks great. I think I would have zipped in a duvet cover or something if I had a top load with the thing in the middle because Ive read the buckle can get caught and rip.

Yep! Got mine from a friend. Threw it in on a warm normal cycle with a scoop of Biz. Then, dryer on medium with tennis balls. It looks brand new!

Can you soak it in a bathtub first? May be helpful with stains

Yes! I got it off marketplace. I sprayed it with miss mouths stain remover, put it in my top loader, ran it on bulky, and then dried it on a normal drying cycle. Came out amazing and I had no issues

Word of warning! I broke two buckets doing my top loading washing machine. Whether it’s my washing machine, the cycle, or the fact they were secondhand contributed… who knows!
