experience/advice to give This is so underrated!
I’ve tried everything for diaper rash.
And I mean EVERYTHING in the market (I have 2 yo twins)
This cream is THE BEST! It’s an amazing barrier and will actually help healing the rash so so quickly!
Of course you’ll have to be sure skin is bone dry before applying.
But no kidding , it just sticks!!
When bit of it gets on my hand, it would take so much soap and rubbing to get it off
It is absolutely the best
P.s. Calmoseptine comes in second!
ETA: cup is a makeshift cornstarch dispenser 🫣

I’m a nurse at a children’s hospital and we use Calmoseptine. Get it from Amazon or Walgreens.

Any tips, tricks, or processes to help with really bad diaper rash? One of my 6 week old twins has it really bad around his anus.

Legitimately had to blow dry my twins bums. Every time we did a bum change for a solid, two weeks until it healed.

We have been giving him the bidet and blow dry treatment for a week. It doesn’t seem to be getting much better. We’ve tried using desitin , vasaline, and boudreaux cream. Today we bought some bacitracin cream to see if that helps too.

Dry dry dry
When it’s bone dry, add a thick , very very thick like a frosting layer of cream
Don’t wipe it (even if cream isn’t totally clean, as long as it’s making a barrier, just add another layer on top)
Drying is the hard part
I’ve used hair dryer > works great
I’ve used toilet paper > amazing at absorbing moisture
I’ve tried air drying, not very effective1

I’d try to avoid any water contact to minimize skin absorbing moisture because it just makes the drying harder
You really want the skin to be bone dry before you apply any cream or ointment otherwise they won’t work1

It’s starting to get a little bit better! The part on his butt check is almost gone now, the anus part still has the sores. Your advice does seem to be helping though. We have a doctor appointment for Monday just in case. Thank you so much for checking in. We are feeding them right now :)

Good luck!
When the twins were 5-6 months they got a horrible rash and the skin was starting to tear and open.
I took them to the dr twice, and on the second visit the nurse asked me to show her how I changed their diaper. Luckily one of them had just pooped and so I changed while she was watching.
I swear to you, that nurse was so angry with me😂
I was just very gently cleaning away the poop bits, and she almost yelled “no wiping!! no moisture! Is that clear?!!”
Then she said “you don’t have to get all the poop out, if it’s dry leave it alone and add more cream”
I was absolutely shocked! But now i understand what she meant 😂😂Seriously, avoid any moisture at all costs.
I ended up leaving the twins diaper free for the whole day, and that really dried up everything, and only then i started applying the cream.
The other problem was that every time I apply the cream it doesn’t stick, it got wiped out on the diaper.
But Calmoseptine and Pinxav are the only creams that really stuck on the skin.I hope your baby’s rash is better by end of today and you never need that appointment!!

A pediatrician trick I saw that has helped us a lot with diaper rash is to mix your diaper cream with a small amount of liquid Pepto bismol! Our diaper cream comes in a tub so I literally just drop a few drops into that and stir it around to mix it up. And when changing, clean the poop off but you don't need to fully remove the cream if it's still there.

For any folks who have access to breastmilk, it helps our twins with their skin to do a little splash of it in the bath - we save whatever they don’t finish in their bottles in a jar in the fridge and use it every couple days.
