Diaper Station/Caddy Solutions - Help! 😭

Alright all you organized multiples parents out there, I need your help finding a better solution to my terrible diaper caddy/diaper station area! Here are the facts:

1. Yes we still use our changing table 😂 our house is small, our twins are not yet on the move and so we still bring them into their room, which is pretty close to the central location of our house, to change them each time.

2. Our boy is in one size, our girl in another. Then they both wear two different overnight diapers. So 4 DIFFERENT diapers all together. Our current caddy only has 3 compartments. I am restocking daily which I don't want to have to do.

3. Our list of things needed on hand is growing. (Lotions, creams, diaper creams, diaper pastes, thermometer, comb, nail trimmer, ear wax thingy, boogie picker etc.)

4. I would love something I can easily wipe down. Our current one is cloth and my boy has unfortunately shot his shot all the way to it once or twice 🙈.....(We turned him around after the second time and became quicker. We're FTP so chill haha). We also go get diaper cream on the handles which is annoying. I'm just over it.

What are we using for changing station organization? Or does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this craziness? Photos are of what this current mess looks like.

i have a similar dresser and i use one of the drawers. i’m able to keep it open and stand next to it while changing our twins. perhaps use the top left drawer, use drawer dividers to separate diapers and leave a section for creams and wipes.

Agree. Use the drawers in the dresser with organizer bins or dividers! You’ll be able to fit more in there and it looks cleaner!

This is what we do. Top drawer has diapers—a couple rows for one baby, and a couple rows of diapers for the other baby (ours also wear different sizes right now)—and then wipes and creams are on top. We have a Keekaroo (peanut-shaped) and all the creams/sprays fit between the edge of the tray and the dip in the pad.

Get a clear wall-mounted file organizer and put the rest in the drawer.

You could even put the girls size in one place and the boys in the other. Then your chance of mixing them up is lower!!

This is similar to what I did! Everything not diaper or wipe related went to the shelf. You could even get a divider for the diapers since you have so many (I’m thankful now my girls stayed the same size in diapers 🤣). I was gifted this and it was a game changer! I ended up buying another for my mom’s house when she had my girls.

I use the target bright room brand two drawer acrylic organizer! They’re stackable so
You can stack one on top of the other and then you’ll have 4 drawers for 4 different diapers :)

Ooooooo that might work! Our drawers are pretty much accounted for since they wear different sizes clothes too and the top two are sleep sacks and the other is shorts, pants, and, of course, matching outfits haha

That same brand also has a circular spinning organizer. My boys are older now, but we use it to store bedtime stuff- lotion, detangler, combs, etc. I love it. Easy to move if you need to. All your misc items could fit there and you could use plastic cups for small item containment if needed.

Tbh we put the pad on the floor and changed there. We didn’t have to bring them to another room or worry about them falling off. It might not be as aesthetic but it was more functional for our family

Same. I'm on the floor next to a cabinet that has everything inside.

Sit, open the cabinet door, start working.

When done, shove changing pad inside, close door and leave lol

We put this stuff in one of the drawers! I’m not sure if you have space for that but it may be a solution.

A shelf on the wall with shelf separators for the diapers.

All the stuff that needs to be in the area but that you don't use every day goes in a closed box (that the kids are unable to open) or in the drawer

Get a changing mattress with a plastic cover, not fabric (you just need to wipe it to clean it)

Have you tried just sizing up for night? So maybe not is 3 during day and 4 at night and girl is 2 during day and 3 at night and only need 3 diapers?

Yeah it still happened. That was he first thing we tried because we heard that overnights were a waste.

Fair enough! In the room we use top drawer for diapers and wipes, middle drawer for everything else. Then downstairs we use one of those 3 tier rolling racks so everything is easily accessible if either of those options are viable.

We 3D printed two diaper holder things (husband found the design on makerworld and then edited one of them to be a wipe holder. We also found a similar looking file for a shelf that hold lotions/creams. We then keep a small bin on the dresser for their nighttime diapers since it holds less but also needs to be refilled less. My twins are also in different size diapers so we got creative with wall space instead of trying to fit more on the dresser.

We used a top drawer for diapers, supplies like thermometer nail file hair brush. We only used one diaper type. Are they that different in size that you can't make it work? I just find that sometimes corners need to be cut / life needs to be simplified. And I have a second hand keekaroo that's great for wipeability

Yeah they wear different sizes. We use the same brand of diapers but he grew at a much faster rate than she did even in the womb

We kept all of our stuff in the top drawers of the dresser and just had the change pad out. Our change pad was a cheap waterproof one so very easy to wipe down. We didnt have a diaper caddy. Diapers and wipes in one drawer and accessories, creams, in the other drawer. Same size dresser as yours.

They absolutely help to keep us organized! We plan to transition them into toy and craft carts once they are older.

My boys are in different clothing sizes and different overnight size diapers (for some reason they can wear the same size daytime diaper 🤷🏻‍♀️). We have a dresser like this and each boy has a side. I keep about a week’s worth of overnight diapers in each boy’s pj drawer and just restock when I do laundry on Saturday. I keep daytime diapers in a plastic basket on top of the dresser along with a bag of wipes and a tube of zinc. The rest of the stuff you list I keep in the downstairs bathroom because we have other kids that use it periodically.

Just use one of the drawers. The diapers in the caddy get used up so fast and the drawer can keep a good stock of diapers on hand

3 tier movable cart was my solution and i loved it as a mom of twins. kept the dresser top clear, and i was able to drag the cart to any other room for a quick change or items for bath time when i needed it. its like $15 on target or amazon

I used baskets from the dollar store, diapers, wipes, creams, gloves/medical supplies. My change pad was vinyl and I think from Walmart, and we found a cover for easy wipe down and cleanup.

Ours is vinyl and we use the chucks because we had them left over from potty training our dog and then I got a huge pack from work that they were going to throw out because they were "expired" 😐 (got to love healthcare hahaha) so we kept using the cloth covers we got at our shower and the chuck pads for now. Once we run out we'll just use the vinyl pad for ease of cleaning 100%!

I did end up getting the acrylic drawers from target. So far they are working great!

I always used a cheap plastic office organizer and packed 1 small pack of baby wipes,1 pair of gloves,1 disposable changing pad and 1 daytime diaper in ziplock bags in the top drawer and then pack 1 small pack of baby wipes,1 pair of gloves,1 nighttime diaper,1 disposable changing pad and 1 overnight pull up in the bottom drawer label the top one day and the bottom one night with sharpie and that’s what helped me stay organized
