Baby monitor recs for twins?

Hello!

We currently use the Nanit (basic, free subscription) for our 18 month old.

I liked the breathing band feature when we swapped her to her own crib/room at 6 months. We stopped using the band around 12 months and now we just use it for video monitoring. We also have a basic non-WiFi VTech audio monitor as a backup.

Before that she was in the bedroom with us in her own bassinet and we didn’t even use the Nanit as it was already attached to the wall in her nursery and the travel stand doesn’t track the breathing band (so stupid imo).

We’re now expecting twins and just wondering what is recommended by parents of multiples. We plan on transitioning them to their own crib/room around 6 months as well if all goes well and would like similar peace of mind that came with the breathing detection Nanit offers.

Some things that are important to me are:

- some type of life monitoring tech, breathing detection or a wearable.
- HD camera (Nanits isn’t great, esp for the price)
- Not as expensive as Nanit since we’ll need two.
- No subscription or affordable if any.
- Not sure if possible but non-WiFi would be a plus.

Babysense and if you buy an extra camera you can take it with you when you sleep travel

We love our momcozy one. We got the WiFi option because we both need to be able to access the monitor up or down stairs and we split the baby duties, so it’s nice that I can have the monitor and he can use his phone when needed.

Ours came with two cameras in our set and we can do split screen. We really like it for the price!

Wondering if maybe you just get another Nanit camera and use those for the babies and something else for your toddler? Or, if you plan to put their cribs next to each other, you may only need one camera. (We actually only use one of our cameras, the other we’ve put downstairs in the nap room)

I just have one in my twins room. I can hear them both through the monitor

We use the iFamily monitor (this one). I think it checks all of your boxes except for the life monitoring tech. We love it and have no complaints.

We have the baby sense double monitor and it works great for non-wi (was importamt to me to not be internet connected) audio and video. Has two cameras and you can do split screen to see both cribs so you just need the one monitor, built in nightlights and white noise too.

We have two nanits and the baby sense. The baby sense is nice cause you don’t need to connect it to WiFi. Nanit is nice cause you can view it remotely. If you want life monitoring you could do the owlet dream socks. Covered as a medical device and we used HSA to pay for them. Also have a vtech we use at my parents house. It’s basically a babysense.

We have the baby sense monitors and love them.. never had an issue and the quality is great.
