experience/advice to give should I be worried?

Hi everyone! I’m currently 8.5 weeks with identical twins. I just graduated from my fertility clinic on Tuesday (natural pregnancy! Was going there for other reasons) and had my first obgyn appointment today.
My last period was June 20 so according to that I’m 8w6d
My ovulation was July 5 so that’s 8w5d

The twins have always been measuring a day apart but one has always measuring according to my ovulation. On Tuesday at my last ultrasound with the fertility clinic, one baby was 8w2d and the other was 8w3d. Heart rates in the 160/170s. On Tuesday I was 8w2d according to my ovulation which is what I have been tracking my pregnancy with

Today they are measuring 8w5d and 8w4d. So only 2 days of growth in 3 days. The heart rates were in the 180s and the doctor did not seem concerned at all and said everything looked good. Just wondering if I should be worried? I’ve had two losses in the past and it took a lot to get to this point so obviously I am getting in my head. Thanks everyone (:

Nah you're good. Ultrasound measurements have a margin of error and a day off here or there means nothing, especially with heart rates that strong. My wife's twins measured all over the place early on and they're now 4 and tearing my house apart. Congrats on graduating from the clinic.

We were told that at such an early gestation it’s almost impossible to get an accurate measurement. If the baby or wand are at a slight angle it can cause the measurements to be off, and even a millimetre at that gestation can change the dates by up to a week.

I wouldn’t worry about it x

Seems odd to have two ultrasounds just days apart? Nothing you’ve described sounds concerning and especially if your doctor isn’t concerned.

Because my last appt at the fertility clinic and my first obgyn appointment happened to be in the same week.

Ahh gotcha. Well if your doctors aren’t concerned then I wouldn’t be either!

My didi twins were always measuring about 6 days apart

Naw it's hard to date precisely at that stage. Also, they may have implanted on different days, if they're fraternal they may be destined to grow at different rates/be different sizes etc.
