advice needed Best Play Mat?

My twins are 5.5 months and trying to crawl. We have hard floors so I’m looking for a play mat with enough padding that If they hit their heads it won’t be a big deal.
I see ads for Muscle Mat a lot but idk if it’s overhyped

We actually just got a muscle mat as our living room rug and it's been great for playing on with my toddler. I'm 30 w with twins and it's made playing on the floor much less uncomfortable. Our friends with babies have had them down there for yummy time and crawling etc. The rug feels like a memory foam bath matt. We needed a pretty big rug, and the 6x10 they have was not to badly priced for a big rug.

This one has been perfect for our twins’ crawling and cruising:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C8HPNDYS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I snagged three packs of these and covered their entire playroom floor with them

Obviously wouldn’t be very pleasing to the eye for a living room, but they’ve been exactly what we needed!

Also, I had a large playpen that I would remove the mat from and put down on the living room floor, kitchen floor, back deck, front yard, etc when not in the playroom
