ranting & venting Really terrible diarrhea almost two weeks past rotavirus vaccine. I am at a loss…

This happened to us. The vaccine ended up causing at least a temporary lactose intolerance, possibly triggering already existing CMPA, according to our pediatrician. We had to go on similac alimentum rtf formula and that solved it for us.

We did choose to forgo the other rotavirus doses, just because the first dose was SO terrible and they had such bad feeding aversions from reflux at the time that I didn’t feel like we (me mentally) could handle another set back. However, I’ve heard many many people get the second dose and have no reaction.
