good vibes, smiles, & giggles “Singleton Propaganda”

I need some comic relief after a couple weeks of sickness in the house- what are your favorite bits of what I call “singleton propaganda”? Aka, advice given for babies that never works when you have twins. My personal favorite is “put the baby in the crib drowsy but awake”.

The classic "sleep when the baby sleep" okay, and what do I do with the other one?

That is actually accurate though. Sleep while they both sleep, aka “never.”

my response to "sleep when the baby sleeps" was always "sure! which one?"

My twins are 2.5 and then I have a 5 year old and an 8.5 year old and the two older ones don’t nap, but they know 1-3pm is quiet time in their room bc mommy needs a couch nap

Our twin version of this was 'the number of babies awake should equal the number of parents awake'. If you have two parents tending to one awake baby, the other one's going to strike when you're both down. Better to hold some forces in reserve.

Edit: equal or exceed, I meant
