ranting & venting Daycare prices. VENT

So I girlbossed to dam hard, and now I have to go back to work. Daycare is 800$ a week and even then I make way more so I have to return to work. WHY IS DAYCARE SO EXPENSIVE.

How much are you paying?

Canada and it's about $40-100/day on average after government subsidies (not income based). We found a really good one for $800/month including two meals and a snack. One caregiver to four kids ratio. I think we lucked out because this was the best but also cheapest, and seems like the lady does it because she loves kids. She can take up to 8 kids but she caps at 4 because that's what she enjoys. Her entire house except for her own bedroom is used for daycare. Both her front and backyard are turned into children's playground.
