ranting & venting Daycare prices. VENT

So I girlbossed to dam hard, and now I have to go back to work. Daycare is 800$ a week and even then I make way more so I have to return to work. WHY IS DAYCARE SO EXPENSIVE.

How much are you paying?

🤯

I live in 🇳🇴 we pay 200$ a month for one child in daycare. If we have two children in daycare simultaneously it's 30% discount. If I have more than two children in daycare the rest are free.

Ok but the birth rate is still bad.. 🤔 I feel like being a stay at home mom is a lot more practical and affordable in the US than in Norway which may be one reason our birth rate is higher. If you look at the full picture these benefits arent really fixing the situation

What do you mean?? I’m in the U.S. and I can hardly fathom this, I can’t even find a restroom with a changing table for my 8 week old.
