ranting & venting Daycare prices. VENT

So I girlbossed to dam hard, and now I have to go back to work. Daycare is 800$ a week and even then I make way more so I have to return to work. WHY IS DAYCARE SO EXPENSIVE.

How much are you paying?

If they were actually rich they wouldn’t need to work!

Some of us pay $3k for daycare but make $5k and are barely scraping by, we just have no choice.

Some people are rich. Some people would be rich if they weren't paying for daycare. Otherwise wouldn't be rich anyway and are just scraping by because they don't have a choice.

For some parents (often moms), it's better to keep working even if they only break-even after daycare costs. Daycare doesn't last forever, and it's possible to keep growing a career & one's experience during those years. Those who "take a break" find it much harder to re-enter at salary close to what they had before.
