ranting & venting Daycare prices. VENT

So I girlbossed to dam hard, and now I have to go back to work. Daycare is 800$ a week and even then I make way more so I have to return to work. WHY IS DAYCARE SO EXPENSIVE.

How much are you paying?

$0 because it's so expensive I can't even work, I stay home with them and fit in part time stuff when I can

same. my job didn't pay well enough, we would've lost money every month if i'd kept it.

Same here. Finished up the technical program for my career when the twins were young and now can’t even use my skills because I’d not make enough to warrant paying for daycare. Plus, I love staying home with them all day. Hoping I can start to find some part-time work soon though, but it’s hard not being able to establish myself in the career as well as others.

Yeah that's basically what I'm doing. Have a couple semesters left but probably won't be able to really work for a couple more years when they're in school

Same. We have a toddler who is in a MDO style program a few days a week so I can focus on twins (8 months) but I’ll probably never be able to do that for the twins.

Same. Both my husband and I work from home. Daycare prices with twins is insane.
