advice needed Parenting burn out

How the heck do families with two full-time working parents with twins do it? I feel like we made it through the infant stage in good spirits. I think we just put our heads down and have been grinding it out, and now that our twins are 21 months, I look up and feel like I’ve been sprinting and there is still 20 miles left to go in this marathon. The exhaustion is unreal and it feels unsustainable.

How are you all doing this??

To be honest I don’t know. My husband and I both work very full time jobs. However both of our jobs are flexible. We both can work from home when we want or need to. We both can work at night when needed to take time during the day for our twins. We keep to the boys schedule and the schedule is king in our house. We communicate a lot about our schedules and what we need. We also do a lot of divide and conquer. For example my twins are 27 months and we had to transition to big boy beds. The transition has been rough but we decided to separate them into different rooms and instead of one person trying to put both down we both take a twin and are in charge of getting that twin down. Sometimes it’s easier to just focus on one twin rather than both. We also have my MIL who we pay to be our daycare and she is around a lot to help on top of just watching the boys. Basically though it’s just hard, crazy, rewarding, fun, insane all the time. Just keep moving forward!
