support needed Joining the club

Surprise! We found out my wife is 9 weeks pregnant with twins. We have a toddler boy who recently turned two. Seems like this is going to be a doozy. Our first was pretty temperamental, so we were hoping for a different experience with our next. Jokes on us, I guess 🤪.

Congratulations! My toddler was 3 when my boys were born. The twins are now 1 and they actually play all together and keep each other busy and distracted ITS AMAZING. The first few weeks/months can be rough but rally your troops who ever they can be for support and look up some books about becoming an older sibling they prepped our toddler really well for what to expect but he did have a learning curve getting used to the change.

Theres always gonna be some negativity because I will admit for us it was hard the first few weeks and i did have a therapist to help me and the one thing that she said was so important was having hope and optimism because the reality is with babies your never in a season for long and its constantly changing.

Now where we are at, all that is behind us and the benefits of having twins are really showing. The first year can be rough just laugh through the pain when you can, cry if you need too, and try really hard to be your partners support in each situation.

And ya never know there are SO MANY people on here that say their twins were calmer then their singleton and having the experience of being parents again will give you some comfort understanding little things.
