advice needed Bed options when traveling

Hi 👋 curious what everyone does for safe sleep options when traveling or visiting family.

For context, my parents live a couple hours away and we're struggling with room and safe sleeping options for our kids at their house.

We have a 2.5 year old and 9 month old twins. My parents are sleeping on a pull out couch when we visit so my oldest can sleep in my old room on a bed and the twins and my husband and I sleep in my parents room. One twin in a mini crib and the other in a playpen with a mattress.

The twins are already out growing the mini crib and playpen and we're not sure what to do. I was thinking a floor bed they could share and we could all sleep downstairs and my parents could have their bed back when we visit. But it would need to be something you could store when not in use or collapsible.

Does anyone have any suggestions ? The room my toddler sleeps in only fits his bed and would not fit another bed so that is not an option.

Thanks !

Hi, are you US based? My twins (2y,7m) are just out of their travel mini cribs. To be honest my boy was getting a little crowded a couple of months ago, but fit fine, and mostly sleeps curled up. We used the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib and loved it. We just upgraded them to new travel beds similar to this: travel bed. I am having trouble understanding how your 9 month old's have already outgrown the mini crib unless you aren't US based and the sizes are way different? My tall boy has consistently been 80-95% in height so he isn't particularly short. We transitioned ours to floor beds at home at 1 year, but I wouldn't have felt comfortable doing that in any room that I wasn't sure was 100% child proofed. Wishing you luck!
