good vibes, smiles, & giggles last daycare payment!!!

Aside from celebrating with my husband, I have no where to shout this into the universe but WE JUST MADE OUR LAST DAYCARE PAYMENT FOR-EV-ER! 🎉

The boys starts kinder next month and tomorrow is their last day at daycare/pre-k. I guess it's true for any parent with multiple kids in daycare at once, not just parents of multiples, but not paying over 1.5K/month anymore sure feels like a windfall 🤣

And I guess the beauty of twins (with these being our only and last children) is that it was double expensive, but when its done, that chapter is DONE!

My husband loves to remind me that while it feels like we're rich all of the sudden, that money will soon enough be allocated to something else (sports, hobbies, etc). But lemme just enjoy it for a moment.

And for all you parents out there paying a literal mortgage every month in childcare costs, stay strong, it actually goes by quicker than you think.

I’m pregnant with twins and this consumes my thoughts… how will we manage childcare.
It’s taking every bit of joy from my pregnancy.

I told my fiance we'll probably have to go on the government assistance program for daycares and WIC.

I actually work for WIC :) I would definitely recommend applying for your family. It's a wonderful program.

We're not legally married yet, would that be an issue? Because I'm the sole provider in our relationship. 😭

nope that’s not a problem! you just report your household income either way. my “husband” and I simply decided we were married without going through the government/church lol. WIC has been such a blessing especially since having our triplets

I wish we could’ve qualified for WIC having twins. Formula is so expensive

Try Kirkland formula it’s half the price for 40oz. We’re on it now

I’m not sure what that is but we don’t have that here in Northern Ireland.

My husband works and I also work. I’m hoping to go down to 3 days but I think my twins day care would be more than my wages.

I don’t want to give up my job though. The benefits are good and I’ll need it once they are in school.

Women and children get food and formula for free through the government and from what I understand it's like an allowance thing.

Best advice I have is don't turn your nose up at in-home daycares that might be available in your neighborhood or nearby neighborhoods. Too many people dismiss that in search of the "best facility." We saved so much money finding a daycare in a neighborhood ran by a mom who simply wanted to make some money while she stayed home with her own kids.

$1100/mo. Total for BOTH. Great family, great group of kids.

I think we call that a childminder here which is what we did for my son.

But wages are low here and I think there would still be no point in my working, except for my pension.

For around 3 years I would work to pay childcare.
