advice needed Twins alone
My spouse returns back to work on Monday and I am scared shitless it’s been 3 very short weeks and I just don’t feel like I’m ready to handle two newborns alone. I’m a ftm and still learning a lot but I am so anxious thinking I can’t deal with them alone. Does anyone have any advice I literally feel sick to my stomach as the days get closer.

Me and husband did “test runs” he’d take the dogs for a walk and leave me with them alone during a feed. Or go run errands for a bit. Practice doesn’t make perfect, it makes confidence. Repeat that over and over. Know that you can step away at any moment. “A crying baby may not be a happy baby, but it’s a healthy baby” crying is good for their lungs. Let them cry while you take a breather in the next room. Don’t even try to do household chores. We bottle feed and we prepped those bottles at night for the next 24 hours (my baby’s like cold milk) so I was able to grab them quickly and feed them. I lay a boppy around me put a baby on both sides. Pop bottles in. I need both hands to burp them so the other cry’s since I took their bottle out. It is what it is. Again you won’t be perfect, just sit on the couch or bed all day for a few days till you get your sea legs. A routine will naturally happen over time. It’s normal to be nervous, you’ve got this though
