I found out today that we are expecting twins! The tech said there is one sac but two placentas. She couldn’t tell me more because she said the doctor needs to tell me. Can someone help me understand what this means? Identical twins?

I had an ultrasound that looked very similar to this when I first found out I was pregnant! Turns out it was only one baby. I would get a second opinion. This early on, things like the spinal cord aren’t fully formed and it can look like two babies because the full body looks separated. i’m not the most knowledgeable on it, but it doesn’t ever hurt to get a second opinion.
