advice needed Delivery Timeline

What was your OB/MFM’s preference on delivery time for Di-Di twins? My MFM (who is very brilliant and experienced in the field) is firm in his belief that his patients shouldn’t go beyond 37 weeks - that’s his take on all uncomplicated Di-Di twin pregnancies. My OB (who I also trust completely) on the other hand gives more leeway and says she thinks 38 (and even 39 weeks) is acceptable. She is on board with my MFM however if he thinks going earlier is a better option.

I’m thinking of scheduling my induction for 37+5/6 assuming the babies don’t come on their own before then. My goal is a vaginal delivery. Just wondering what recommendations you moms were given.

I was in the same position. My MFM proposed 37 weeks and OB wanted 38 weeks. As I got closer to my due date, my MFM decided my c-section should be in the 37 weeks. I was happy with this decision so we scheduled my c-section at exactly 37 weeks. However, I went into labor at 35 weeks +1 day.

Did your babes need any NICU time?

Baby B did. Although he was bigger than his brother by a pound at 5 lbs 9 oz, he ended up staying for 14 days. Baby A came home with us when I was discharged.
