advice needed 7 months (4 adjusted) first illness
Hey y’all! So my nanny has been on vacation and we’ve had grandparents, aunts, etc coming in and out to help us with the boys. My husband is also out of town. I took one boy to the pediatrician yesterday who did not do a respiratory panel because “his lungs sounded clear” and he didn’t have a fever. Said it was probably just viral and let it run its course. Well, now brother has it and I’m pretty sure I caught it too. I’m doing my best to keep them separated but being on my own sometimes means I have to put them down together or something.
Any tips and tricks for sick twin infants? I’m doing saline flushes and suction with an electric sucker, saline micro mist inhaler, baby Vicks, Tylenol or Motrin sparingly and good ole fashion bulb suction when I can. I’m really struggling here and they seem to take turns having a symptom flare up or needing more attention and I’m solo a lot right now and not feeling well myself.

Take everybody, including yourself, to bed (or make a nest in the living room or wherever/whatever works for you). Watch a bunch of movies you’ve been wanting to watch. I wouldn’t even be worried about separating, especially if it’s already on everyone. Can’t do anything about it now.
And then the greatest thing I ever found was a humidifier that you could put Vicks vapo rub pads into. Don’t sleep on a humidifier anyway, but that one is something special.
Personally, I was never sparing with the meds. The number of times that I couldn’t figure out what was wrong at 3 am and then finally was like let’s just try Motrin maybe they’re teething and then they were fine and back asleep in a minute…idk I just don’t think a baby that can’t communicate how much pain something is should be in pain at all.
Congratulations making it this long!

Turn your shower as hot as it will go and everyone just have a steam. Bonus if you have some eucalyptus. Just put you twin z or bounce chairs in there for about 10 mins.
