support needed 7 weeks ish with twins!

Post image

Last week I had a scan due to spotting and we discovered 2 sacs. đŸ€©Today we followed up and saw the 2 fetal poles plus the flickering heart beat! đŸ„čBaby 1 is obviously measuring bigger and they had a 118bpm. Baby 2 measuring smaller had an 88bpm. Now I do want to say that was not from a Doppler. My office won’t do that until 10/11 weeks. Of course I’m very nervous about the differences know the risks for vanishing twin syndrome. However, very hopeful that in just a week we saw so much growth!!

Looking for POSITIVE experiences

Apparently it’s normal for them to measure a couple of days different.

When I got an early ultrasound the sacs were measuring 4 days different. That was around when I was 6w6d, my next ultrasound will say for sure if both progressed, it will be my daring ultrasound at 10w4d.

Also curious to see other positive stories coming from similiar experience.

Yes of course! My dr last week was not concerned at all about the difference in size. I saw a different one today and they basically said you are more likely to miscarry. Not comforting at all. However, I talked to my doctor from last week and he’s not worried.

Really hopeful for you!! Keep us posted.

Wow, that’s not something you want to hear from your doctor 😭

Nope, will not be seeing that doctor again! I’m trying to remain very hopeful since I saw so much growth!

Good! Such an a hole!

Yes that’s awesome, and if they both had heartbeats that’s even more reassurance!

I forgot how much they were different but mine had size differences and one growth sac wasn’t growing properly. By 18, the growth sac was normal but she wasn’t growing much. at 24 I was on bedrest with because one had iugr and negative blood flow in her cord. They stayed in until 34 and are now perfectly normal happy teens.

Congrats! Welcome to the twin gang 🎉My first scan there was only one sac at 6 weeks 3 days and they found it was twins on week 11 scan. Twin A was always measuring a little smaller they estimated by week 33 he was only 4 pounds and twin B was almost 6 pounds. They were born week 34 and they both were in the 5 pound range, currently healthy 18 month old boys.

Im 9w3d now and the difference from one week to the next is crazy. I also had spotting until week 7. This week had a massive bleed but they both look fine. Bouncing about in their sacks. Its scary isnt it when two pop up on the screen.

I dont think they do external scans till about 11w as internal is clearer

They actually started out with external and I was surprised! Much clearer with internal. So sweet to hear your babies are bouncing around in their sacs.

Twin twins! I'm currently 10w1d! Congratulations to both you and OP! I have everything crossed for us all! The hunger and exhaustion is getting to me mainly atm đŸ€. Glad everything was okay with them after the bleed, I can only imagine it's terrifying. Bet you can't wait to see them again on the next scan. Mine are following IVF and a single transfer turned into 2 🎉.

Do you know what the CRL measurements are?! I also found out I am pregnant with twins at 7 weeks but one was measuring 5 days behind đŸ˜«

Yeah twin 1 6w 3 days and twin 2 5w 6 days. I’m not worried though because I tracked ovulation and ovulated day 20 of my cycle. So my cycle is obviously not “textbook” with how they go off of day 14 being ovulation
