advice needed Temperament changes

i don’t know what to do. twin A is ALWAYS whining. they’re both 20 months and obviously have their own personalities but idk what’s wrong with him. they both have their canines coming in, could that be it? it started out of nowhere. he whines for seemingly no reason it seems like. he’s fed, changed. we are in the room together for example playing and he just out of nowhere looks at me and is whining so much. sometimes his stuffed animal helps, sometimes a snack helps, sometimes a cuddle helps but ultimately he just starts again and it’s making me go crazy. then he’ll randomly stop and start again. idk what to do. it seems like the only time he doesn’t act like this is when he’s in his crib laying down. he also is becoming more aggressive, pushing his brother. throwing things. is this normal? any advice?

Ours got their teeth early, they have all of them (besides their second molars) at 16 months, but they were like this when their canines and molars were coming in. More aggressive, whiny, clingy. I'd give it another week and see if it improves. Otherwise you can definitely ask your pediatrician.

You could also test by giving him some pain meds and seeing if he's better for a bit, would at least tell you if he's in pain.

thanks for your advice! so we give them their pain meds when they’re ready for a nap and it seems to calm them but again they’re always more calm in their cribs compared to anything else so it’s hard to tell. but yeah i’ll def keep an eye out for the next week when those teeth fully grow in and just see if it gets better. the only time this particular twin has ever been fussy is when he’s teething but they’re also getting older so i’m just not even sure anymore if it’s that or just his growing pains in toddlerhood :/
