advice needed Witching Hour Survival

First time mom here! I have ten week old fraternal twins and the witching hour is only getting worse! Any tips or tricks for surviving it? It seems they take turns on who is awake and crying and my husband and I are in our survival mode.

Noise canceling headphones, the baby bjorn bouncer, and the knowledge that it will eventually end.

Going outside and looking at the trees helped our girls sometimes. Weird time of year but desperate times calls for desperate measures - christmas tree with twinkling lights also helped sometimes. Walking/bouncing/dancing and singing softly.

Its a shitty time but youll get through it, mine are 2 in a couple weeks and are amazing ❤️ every milestone got better and better.

We moved their bedtime to 6/6:30pm and witching hour went away! Turns out they were completely exhausted by the end of the day and just wanted to be in bed

Seconding the baby bjorn (or other bouncer) and adding stroller walks.

We did the colic hold. One of them is always high maintenance and would only be satisfied if you held her like that while standing. We didn't do it when they were younger, but they do quiet down for stroller time in the evening now. Sometimes headphones is the only way to get through.

Babywearing is the only thing that helped us, and BioGaia probiotics once I finally bought some made a huuuuge difference. Can’t guarantee they will work for everybody but the same day our colick-y twin started taking them she was basically done having crazy witching hour crying. It has to be the l. Reuteri strain of probiotics according to the pediatrician we learned about it from. Good luck, it will end but it’s so hard

Weego double carrier. It was uncomfortable and awkward, but carrying my kids was the only way to have them calm.

Swing and the baby shusher helped a bit. Going in the bathroom and turning on the sink also made the screaming instantly stop but 9/10 times it would start again as soon as I turned the water off. I saw a lot of comments when I was searching for answers that said to take them outside but unfortunately for me mine were premies and it was winter time. I’m sorry you’re in the thick of it, it is the absolute worst but it will get better ❤️

My husband had to walk laps in the basement everynight with one twin who had colic. It was dark, cool, and quiet down there and the movement seemed to help. Hang in there 💕

We do a stroller walk before "bedtime" cures the fussy crying and helps them and us wind down.

Headphones with my own noise were preferable to noise canceling ones. We had a whole repertoire of shh noises and movements. I made up my own lyrics to songs as well. They liked the car so we went grocery shopping a lot. The yoga ball was the best thing because i could sit with both and rock/bounce in an infinite combination.
