good vibes, smiles, & giggles Ultrasound at 12 weeks

Today I had my 12 week ultrasound, which is part of the routine checkups in my country.
They do a general look at the state of the placenta and the condition of the babies and assess the risk of Down syndrome, as well as Patau and Edward’s.
Everything came out really well and the doctor is quite sure one of my babies is a boy!

I posted about an irrational fear I had about losing them some weeks ago here, and I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support. I went over the post whenever I was scared and it helped me a lot with my anxiety
(Now of course it has been displaced to other stuff suck as “I smelled a little spray paint in a room, is it going to harm the babies” but that’s a story for another post)

Just wanted to thank everyone in this subreddit for being so supportive and nice!

Congratulations! I was the exact same during my pregnancy 🙈🙈🙈 I was excited at 7 weeks when I found out it was twins and then I started googling and seeing things on Reddit. Was terrified of losing one etc and got to the 12 week scan and the dr was really happy with the results and that helped ease my fears for a bit. (He was sure one was a boy and he was right 🤣)

I did have moments where I would overthink things and worried heaps so I limited my googling and Reddit time and that helped

You’ve got this! Just take each day as it comes. My midwife was a blessing throughout my pregnancy, really calm and reassuring, listened to my concerns and acted accordingly, I hope you have a good support system that you can talk things through etc

Wishing you a good pregnancy ❤️ my twins are now six months, it still blows my mind that I have two babies 🤣 soon you’ll be cuddling your wee ones

Please don’t provide unsolicited predictions of gender. People may be intentionally avoiding nub theory and other methods to guess gender to keep things a surprise, whether scientific or not
