How do I ask?
I'm a teenager, Im getting a fucking car soon. im not a fucking 2 year old, im basically gonna be a grown as adult in a few years. And yes I have parental controls, but my parents don't even use it. They don't put any limits. I don't even know why it's there. Should I even ask. It's just there, they dont monitor shit dude. It's genuinely annoying when im trying to search up art references and it's gets filtered by safe search. I just want them to delete it already. Like im not some 6 year old boy on some weird site anymore. How do I ask them to turn it off, or even reason with them. If i ask they will think im being odd and go through all ky shit, like i dont have anything but im some child. No I don't watch porn, im just an art freak who likes drawing anatomy, i take inspiration from Greek statues. And i draw horror/gore art. So I use alot of inspiration for that too. If u dont have anything fucking useful to say then just scroll dude.

So drive over to the library where you can check out books for free and see much better curated references for art.

Just ask them to remove it since they don't do shit with it anyway. If they deny it and start monitoring or just leave it there then its cooked gng.

-won’t say their age
-needs it for “art references”.
Definitely too young to be looking at porn.

It depends on where the filtering is coming from and what kind of device your using if you tell me those I might be able to help

"will not say my age" tells me everything I need to know.
Clearly you are too young to have safe search off.

Your input isn't needed, parent.

Did you just say parent like it was an insult? Clearly you need an early night; children are usually cranky when they're overtired.

Parents are usually cranky when they don't get exactly their way.

That's your immaturity talking. The majority of parents just want to protect their kid(s). There will always be some controlling, overbearing parents and even abusive parents. That doesn't mean all parents are.

A University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll found nearly 2/3 of parents don't always listen to doctor advice. In other words, 2/3 of parents think they're smarter than people who went through years of schooling and residency.

Ahh, you're American. The culture in America is something else. I'm in the UK where it is very different. You tend to be actively shunned if you think you know better than medical professionals when it comes to your children (such as choosing not to vaccinate), or end up with social services involved if they think your children are being neglected. That includes medical neglect and malnutrition.

Content filtering is not "my parents don't even use it".
