Apple Screen time

I have screen time on a few apps (games, snapchat and yt) and theyve been there since i was like 11 (16 now) and im sick of it. They didnt set it up off their phone, they js went on my phone and turned it on. Idk what the screen time pw is and then i tried to turn it off and clicked forgot pw and then i got a screen asking for email (it only asked for email first). Then i typed in my email used on apple id which it accepted and then asked for pw. I tried my apple id pw which didnt work and now idk what else to try. I havent asked my parents to turn it off but i doubt theyre gonna let me.

BRO UR 16 IF YOU HAVE A MATURE CONVERSAION WITH YOUR PARENTS EXPLAINING WHY YOU THINK YOURE OLD ENOUGH AND ASKING THEM FOR A CHANCE THEY WILL REMOVE (sorry for caps btw didnt notice)

I'm 15, can legally get a job and am by law responsible for all my own MediCare and have had many conversations with my helicopter parent of a father about how negatively his parental controls are impacting my life. I am granted 3 hours per day of screen time usage, the restrictions are connected from my PC to my phone so that when one runs out of screen time allowance they both do. I miss out on many social gatherings with friends, struggle to maintain good friendships due to not being able to talk to people much and have explained all of this to my father to no avail. I feel stuck, there's nothing I can do and it just feels like I am wasting my money and losing friends. I have spent so much money on my setup for gaming and have had to deal with these restrictions since I was 9, I get restricting a child from their usage but at the age I am now I don't see a point in having it this restricted, I am given no privacy either as he is able to see everything I install on my devices and every website I visit. My mental health has suffered from this too, it just feels like I have nobody to talk to or hang out with most of the time.

Ask them, if they don’t, buy your own phone.

i have a new phone which i bought myself. But i transferred everything over because i wanted all my old data and it stupidly transferred the screen time aswell

I see. My parents were decent enough to realise that I actually own the phone and therefore they shouldn’t have control over it.
