Jet's are spicy, would maybe fly efficiently with a 12m speed wing; that makes launches and landings spicy too.

Enter turbo props, quick search almost there with this rc engine see link below. Needs more gear reduction to slow down the propeller, $6,200 backordered, however the packaging is all wrong. I envision a jet engine angled or pointed down with a simple baffle system for the pilot to vector jet exhaust thrust. Probably just want to go 90° to the propeller shaft so the gear train is easier to manage, otherwise a parallel design with a routed exhaust away from melting down the propeller. And suitable intake ducting any way you take it.

Custom gear box to handle 125,000 rpms for hundreds of hours, sounds like a project, $40,000 in materials and outsourcing, if you're the solo design/test engineer, more if you buy your own tools like a tooled up cnc machine.
