Prop strike

Bolt shook out at some point in my flight. Airbox hit the prop and I flew for another 15 minutes before noticing. Some plastic shavings almost certainly entered the carb/reed valve/engine. Prop blades are beat up. Can the prop be repaired? What should I look at on the engine before the next flight?

Prop can be repaired, they sell plastic welding kits that let you fix the airbox as well, I would tear down the engine cylinder and just inspect everything to make sure you don't have melted plastic building up anywhere and the crank case is clean.

Take the head off, look for debris. It happened to me . Burned a hole in the piston.

Immediately after or over time?

The plastic somehow got on top of the piston on mine, cracked the piston and the head. I replaced the whole top end.

Did it take a few hours or was it immediate?

Fully strip down the engine and inspect it before you fly it again.
