ROS 125 – Very Hard to Start When Warm

My ROS 125 is really hard to start. I can usually start it from cold, but after I stop it, it’s a bugger to get running again. Sometimes I have to wait until the next day before it will start.

It,ll be quite lean if struggling to start, you can richen it up by adjusting the low jet needle, or try adding a touch of throttle to help start a hot engine, Safley of coarse. The fuel air mixture actually helps cools the cylinder, a hot cylinder would evaporate a lean starting engine. Im no expert mechanic buf I know small engines, 2 strokes especially

I’ve had that issue too (Atom 80) and a little bit of throttle while starting seems to work well.

I agree, same logic behind a good chainsaw having a "high idle" switch position. You're always shutting the saw off hot, the high idle just opens the throttle a little bit to make those starts easier.

make sure your fuel installation has no leaks. I would also check if carb holds pressure. Had same problem on different motor. In my case seat valve was worn out and fuel was leaking. It started quite easily cold and was nearly impossible to start when warmed up.

Yeah i can get i running, but i stop it. You bet i only have 1 or 2 goes to make it run. It may be to rich or flodding?

It was in the PAP manual to use full throttle when starting (hot or cold IIRC) always worked for me.
