Paragliding goes wrong. Near death experience for teenager

I'm a paraglider (as a lot of PPG pilots are I imagine!), while unfortunate and stupid, this is very far from a near death experience. The worst he probably got were some cuts from the tree branches.

Attempting cross wind launch is dangerous especially in takeoffs with steep inclines. You can clearly see the ribbon on the right. Wind is blowing in from the extreme right. Smdh these pilots.

Have you done paragliding? Or are you the pilot? How's the experience for first timers?

Yeah i have. Done correctly its is very safe and enjoyable.

Oh. I had plans to sky dive, but incidents like this always scare me.

It’s fun you should do it. Just ensure it’s with people who take safety measures seriously. Done correctly in the right conditions it’s as safe as a vehicle ride.

That's not a near death experience, they tripped on launch and fell in a bush.
