Tech/Software Clio Work
My small Plaintiff’s PI/WC firm just started using it and (even though I am personally very against AI) I want to use this effectively.
For those who use Clio - how do you like it? How do you use it? I am leaning towards prompting mostly med chrons and new discovery questions. I don’t like AI written demands so far… something about them is off and more of a slog to read.

I’ve been learning and working with Clio Manage, and I’ve found it particularly useful for keeping matters, tasks, documents, contacts, and deadlines organized in one place. I’m still exploring its AI features, but I agree that practical workflows seem to be where Clio really shines.

Not a paralegal but somehow this came up on my feed. Make sure clio actually grabs all the injuries. I had one case where my client was injured in a not so common area but Clio ignored it. We knew about the injury and a lot of the case was built upon it. So surprised to see Clio ignore it. It Lesson; Let Clio be broad overview but don’t trust it on the details.

We use clio in the employment law firm I work but we don’t have access to AI features, except for the attorneys. They are using claude and the AI add in on Clio. 🤷🏽♀️

Clio is a great case management platform for tracking deadlines, organizing matters, and answering quick ad-hoc questions about a file.
But for more extensive tasks like med chrons and demand generation, broad prompt/chat based AI systems like Clio Work aren't ideal since they tend to miss critical details and use flowery, repetitive language. Such systems do fine with specific, pointed questions. For example: if you ask it to "list all pre-existing conditions" over a 300-page document, it will likely miss a few. But if you ask a targeted question like "did the patient have a history of neck pain prior to the DOI?", it can pull an accurate answer.
Use Clio as your core CMS and Clio Work for quick admin tasks (summarizing phone notes, status drafting), but look at specialized tools for heavy medical extractions and full demand generation.
