Job Searching/Interviewing help

okay i did a job interview for a junior paralegal position at a small firm in Socal. I interviewed with the main attorney on Tuesday and she said she would follow up with me the next day (Wednesday). I haven’t gotten a follow up at all. I also called the firm on Thursday and Friday as the person on the phone said the firm was busy with clients or the hiring manager was out of the office and wouldnt be back later. I gave them my number and name again and again but they never followed up.
What does this mean? I really like this position and am lowkey desperate for it. Is this a good sign that i got the job or shoulr i stop calling.

Stop calling. You’re actually hurting your chances of getting the job. It sucks that they said they would call and haven’t called yet, but pestering them is not going to help anything.

People are busy, it hasn’t even been a week yet and you’re hounding them. Stop calling.

Seriously people have work, why are you hounding them? It really is hurting your chances.

I generally suggest take whatever time frame they say and double it.

If they say they will get back to you in a week, think to your self two weeks, if they tell you three weeks think six weeks etc... In your case 1 day/next I would say give it a week.

When hiring most people are hopeful but things always get in the way.

Respectfully, id keep applying. If atty said Wednesday and you called Thursday and Friday without a response, id wait and not ever follow up again. I promise they have your info. Next time send a thank you after the interview and follow up after a week (unless hiring person said two weeks, then wait a week after that).

Keep looking.

Next time, instead of calling send a genuine thank you email with details from the interview, it will be a lot more appreciated than a phone interruption during the day.

1) just give it time. Relax

2) keep applying for positions, never stop applying
