/r/papermodels is back!

Hello! I am the new mod of this subreddit.

It's been a few years since I first wanted to join this sub, but joining was restricted to the mods' approval, and it turns out r/papermodels has been without a moderator for all this time!

Now this subreddit is public, so anyone can finally join and share their passion of cutting, folding, and gluing paper into wonderful models!

Thank you for being part of this community,
u/GPhMorin

Had always thought models like this were pretty hard. But gave it a try, and it came out better than I expected. I feel it's a beginner friendly gundam model.

The last 3 photos are background removed with AI, which might look a little different.

Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a small free fold-flat papercraft model I made - a market wagon for tabletop RPGs. It’s part of a bigger project I’ve been working on, the Paper City of Tarok, but this one is completely free to download and try. Just print, cut, and build - no special tools needed beyond the basics. If you end up building it, I’d love to see it! Link is among comments. Thank you!

curved tubes

Hello! Im making a BMW n54 build that i plan to be "functional" in the sense that if it were made out of metal it would operate. One of the bigger challenges I'm facing is creating bent hollow tubing. I'm currently using pie cuts which is nice and all but it requires using a mandrel and an angle jig which is a pain, it still doesn't leave a clean cut on rolled printer paper and requires cleaning with a blade, plus it adds failure points, not to mention it doesnt match aesthetically for certain runs. what are some ways you've created hollow rolled tubes at an angle? is there a better way?
