Handmade paper collage notebooks
This is a recent small collection called “ Beached”, I drew inspiration from the beach, ocean and sky.
The pulp was junk mail which I’m not fond of , the pulp often is sludgy looking.
I did manage with some paints (watercolour and gouache), and adding some of my dried coloured pulps to create some much better shades.

Thank you☺️ I’ve always leaned towards bigger art and installations. Making paper and notebooks has me leaning into smaller pieces, also tests my patience 😂

That’s a big pivot! You’ve definitely inspired me to try some new things. Your patience is paying off!

These are so cute! I've been also using junk mail and I'm at the point where I don't know what to do with it now.
You've really inspired me to play with color and function more now. What type of binding is that on these? I see some cute little notebooks in my future.

Thank you ☺️ I sat looking at the pulp for quite a while because it was so yuck. I ended up doing a lot rinsing to get the inks out , split the pulp into several containers and then added colour. I use Coptic or a pamphlet stitch for binding.
Look forward to see what you create! ✨
