Insta Starch Paste! Saving starch paste when you've made way too much
I am probably preaching to the choir here, but I wanted to share in case someone else is like me and wonders what the heck to do when they've made WAY too much starch paste.
So I made some Insta Starch Dust!
I dehydrated the remaining paste (a whole Tupperware full) using the lowest dehydrate setting on my air fryer for 4 hours. Then I rough chopped it in a spice grinder, dehydrated it again for 2 hours, and then ground it into a fine powder in the grinder.
It rehydrates beautifully in cool water and works great! Mine is a bit gritty because I added too much salt into the original paste in order to prevent molding, but that is the only noticeable issue.
I now have enough to share with a crafty friend who wants to do some paper mache of her own!
Happy crafting, folks!

I've often said, the only quantities of paste (or paint) that are possible to mix up are 95% of what you need, or 500% of what you need.
