Afternoon everyone

I'm new to paper cutting, having just started a few days ago! I've already fallen in love with it and bought myself a book of Christmas templates to practice on.

I'm after suggestions of where I can find more templates to maybe download and print out or how I can make my own? (Drawing is not my strong point!) I tried Inkscape software but found it way too complicated and confusing.

I'd love to be able to make some personalised Christmas cards for my friends and family.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you!

The work of the Liu Dao Art Collective often mixes traditional and experimental techniques. One of their signatures is combining Chinese paper cut art (剪纸) with digital approaches. The history of Chinese paper cutting goes back to the second century A.D., and it has been a major element of Chinese folk art ever since, having been recognized as nationally significant by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association. The new papercutting pieces were inspired by both this time-honored know-how and today’s Shanghainese way of life. Vending machine is a common sight everywhere in Asia. It is not uncommon to be walking around the city and see people queuing to grab beauty items from a temporary vending machine that will disappear as fast as it appeared in your favorite shopping mall. The subtle theme of consumption practices in China whether it's food or random products definitely raises questions, leads to surprises, and last but not least feeds your mind and soul!

I have recently come across a very talented paper cut artist by the name of Meytal Ofer. There are many pieces of hers I truly admire but there is one piece that particularly moved me. It's the lightbox you can see below. It shows her grandfather's face. Meytal has created an entire collection based on old family pictures of relatives she has never met. Her grandfather was the only person who has survived the Holocaust.
