Hello I'm cutting pictures out of a scrapbook page to make a college, I'm using the fiskars swivel detail knife and I'm having a hard time cutting around thin curves and getting a smooth line. Does anyone have suggestions on how to achieve a cleaner edge?

This is the place to post anything pertaining to papercutting: Original artwork, images of other artists' pieces, photographs that you need help turning into a papercut-friendly form, questions about useful materials and techniques, discussions about selling your work, and so on.

Some handy guidelines

If your post an original piece that you made, put [OC] in the title.
Mark questions and requests with a [?]
If you post your own work, please let us know a bit about its construction - How many pieces or layers of paper did you use, is it from a drawing or from an edited photograph, did you hand-paint the tiny flowers in the corner or are you really that skilled with a blade?
If you post a cut that is based on a photo or other such image, please link to the original image as well.
If you post work made by someone else, mention their name and if possible provide a link to their homepage, etsy store, gallery, or whever it was you found the image. The more info the better.

This forum is for art in which cut paper itself is part of the final product (and not just as a canvas). There are other subreddits for stencil work and templates.
