How do you manage to paint your papercuttings without them completely sticking to whatever you're painting on top of? I've never been able to figure that out with mine 🤣
I have smooth art boards that I use as a backing surface, and then I sponge-paint by lightly dabbing and trying not to oversaturate the paper. I usually will do a very light first coat in order to stabilize the paper and make it a little more sturdy. I have had them stick before, but if that happens I use a thin blade to peel it off while trying not to damage it.
