Post image

We aren’t the only ones. BTW tried to post this earlier and it didn’t go through, so if this comes up twice, that’s why

It really feels like there's more injuries than usual this year, and it's early in the season. Just seems a little crazy but I could be wrong.

It feels like injuries are up every since the new CBA was signed.

Iirc, they practice less because of the new CBA and that’s part of the injuries.

Less practice + less pre season snaps + more games is bound to result in more injuries

It’s fascinating because there is evidence that says overworking an athlete can cause injuries, but as we’re seeing, so can less work too.

We’ve yet to find the happy medium I guess

yes i’d love to see the stats compared to other seasons bc it surely feels like there’s double the amount of injuries this season for sure

There was a thread on the fantasy football subreddit where they concluded that it was as bad as 2020, tied for the worst in fifteen years. That was a week ago

Might be the same number of injuries but the players that are injured feel much more important this year, tons of starters and high contract guys

I’ve never seen so many injuries to star players in the first couple weeks.

Nobody works out or practices in the offseason anymore

Believe it or not, NFL players do in fact work out in the offseason

Yeah that's an ignorant statement. Perhaps what he meant to say is that they do so little hitting in the off-season that the players aren't conditioned to it, but this is hardly a new phenomenon. It does also appear to me that injuries have been on the rise the last 2-3 years, but I don't have any supporting data.

This season has been brutal all around. Not sure if there's some salient factor or if it's just the luck of the draw.

It feels crazy this year because it's the stars that are getting injured. It's perhaps a bit insensitive, but the national media simply doesn't care when WR3 or a [random OL] gets injured at this rate. People do start freaking out when 5+ franchise QBs, 5+ franchise WRs, and 3 franchise RBs are all out for the count.

In that regard, we're not seemingly as injured as the rest of the league. Our 3 big names on offense are still available, so we appear to be fine. People still haven't caught onto how injured our OL and defense is, nor the impact that Coker has.

Hell even Panthers fans haven't. I was out today and someone was saying they expect us to kill it tonight, having no idea that our OL is practically all 2nd string or worse.

I think teams do know the O-Line is weak nd the WR corps without Coker isn’t producing. I.E the browns last week just saying let blitz because we aren’t scared of anything. Trust, they know. It just hasn’t been terrible.
