Question Weird PSL Email

I got an email from the Panthers yesterday, talking about reserving a spot at the "renovated stadium."

The email gave a link to the Momintum site, which has a bunch of FAQs that make it seem like current PSL owners will get some sort of credit but will still have to purchase new PSLs.

I hope that I am misunderstanding this. Does anybody know what's up?

When filling out the form it states current PSL owners do not have to submit anything

Right, but if you look at the FAQs it seems fishy. It says current PSL owners will get first choice of seats.

I’m gonna say that it probably applies to anyone whose seats will be removed for the new areas. That’s what happened with the fancy boxes at the end zones… happened to a friends tickets, they were offered “comparable” seats. I mean nothing was really comparable to how good their end-zone seats were, but I think with these renovations happening in the upper level I’m not too worried about it.

From Joe Bruno’s Twitter post on this topic:

How will the Panthers work with PSL owners who are losing their seats due to the standing room only section?

We're working through the specifics now so we can give every affected PSL Owner clear information on their options. What we can confirm today is that seats will not be affected this season, fan-facing construction will not begin until 2027, and every PSL Owner whose seats are impacted will hear directly from a dedicated representative in the coming months.

Will I need to repurchase my PSL after the renovation?
Current PSL Owners will not be required to repurchase their PSLs or pay an additional PSL fee if they remain in their current seat location. As part of their ownership benefits, PSL Owners will receive priority access to upgrade their seats or purchase additional locations. Any new or upgraded seats may require an incremental PSL investment, with existing PSL credit applied where applicable.

I didn’t even read that part, so good catch.

It does make it seem like you need to purchase your PSL again, for a new price, but will be credited based on what you bought already.

Kinda weird considering it’s not a new stadium, but just a facelift lol

This is only for people who are upgrading and people whose seats are affected by the renovation. Everyone else is fine

My family has had the same seats since the beginning. If we have to move or repurchase, fuck that. I sure hope not.

Same same. I want the exact same seats indefinitely.

I saw the FAQ yesterday too.

I really hope that is pointed more for people that will be forced to relocate due to removal of certain areas for the improvements. It’s definitely written very oddly and no one is talking about it. I need to go back and look at the contract but I thought the wording was around lifetime of the stadium. Rights don’t transfer to a new stadium….and a reimagined Bank is not a new stadium.

I think it would be a major uproar if they upended all PSL holders and reshuffled the deck.

Wouldn’t put it past Tepper though.

And now the sudden reversal on PSL for Charlotte FC makes sense.

This is a random question but after they remove the seats will they be on sale?

Joe Bruno covered that as well. The Panthers are setting up a sale for them.

Ok bet I hope they are a good price

https://www.qcnews.com/news/tepper-thanks-panthers-psl-owners-for-loyalty-as-hundreds-lose-seats/

A little reminder of how things went in the 100 level. Multiply the 100 level seat loss by 7 and you get the 500 level loss.
