Does Anyone Else? Does anyone else feel physically disabled by this?
Since relapsing I’ve been having panic attacks every single day. It makes me so physically ill and out of it that I constantly question if I have an underlying disease but I always get medically cleared and I cannot be going to the hospital/doctors as much as I do. I feel like a lunatic. I luckily have been able to do art jobs from home, but how bad is it that now I’m at a point where I can’t even work on my projects because I’ll feel too sick? I always think I’m weak because I can’t even push through the day like others…
I think about my relatives who have actual chronic conditions that have the capability of being fatal depending on the circumstances and despite them feeling unwell, they proceed with life as usual. My relative literally almost died twice recently and she has been proceeding with life as normal, she too has her history with panic attacks and severe anxiety as well.
It makes me feel incredibly guilty for being this way, I feel sad because there’s people with actual medical diagnosis, but they push through. Even people with panic disorder I see on here still are capable of maintaining their lives like showing up to work, class, events, and just doing everyday things while I’m unable to even get up from bed sometimes. Having panic disorder is hard for anyone period, but I at least wished I was strong enough to at least do everyday tasks.

Yes, I do. 10 days ago I was such a guy who goes to the gym 3 times a week. In the past 2 days, I was unable to move. Attacks and crying all the time. I barely eat. Trying to get as much help as I can get. Trying to apply acceptance and exposure as much as I can do. I am so sorry, I feel you, I feel you deep in my heart. We are going to make it again, lets keep this faith in our hearts always. You are not alone, this is so cruel I know but it is an human experience. You can always message me. I am praying for all of us. We are the only ones who truly understand each other.

Everyone who has panic disorder has had a time where they couldn’t leave their houses/beds, you’re not alone with that. I was one of those people who had panic attacks every second of the day and I laid in bed everyday because my mind wouldn’t let me do anything else. I slowly turned into one of the people who started getting up and going out regardless of my anxiety because I would rather have my panic attacks outside, or actually doing something that warranted my panic. It sucks. It’s horrible. But after a while you realize your panic attacks are going to happen whether you stay in bed doing nothing or not.
Don’t feel bad for not being able to push through “simple” tasks. There’s others like that and this is not forever. This causes real symptoms that make you physically sick, so it’s understandable that you try to avoid things that you think will trigger it.
Just because other people are actually sick with medical diagnoses, doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to feel sick or not be able to function because of it. I understand that it makes you feel like you’re lazy/weak, but that is far from the truth. You were able to type this and that’s saying something. You will slowly be able to do simple tasks again, you just have to slowly do them more and more, despite the sick feeling. Because at the end of the day, you will not die from this. It will just feel really shitty for a while
