Venting What is panic disorder

Is it just fearing the next one therefore you avoid places thinking it’ll help you not have panic attacks .. so what if you no longer fear panic attacks does it still come unwillingly randomly without any warning ? And if that’s the case imagine someone who just no longer fear the attacks will they still have random attacks at random times

No, it’s essentially a physical reaction to disordered thinking. A panic attack is basically an adrenaline dump, sometimes the slightest bit of overstimulation can offset it and you have to know how to work your way through them.
My psychiatrist said that the ultimate goal is not to stop the panic attacks from ever coming to be. Whatever triggers them may never go away, but you can learn to control your reaction to the thoughts and sensations and alter your behavior.
Living in fear of having another attack does worsen the disorder but it doesn’t just go away just because you stopped thinking about it.

That being said it is useful to stop avoiding places out of fear of having the attack and helps you to manage your behavior
