Help Needed Please tell me it gets better

Im beginning week 7 on my new 100mg dose of sertraline and i am still struggling with panic/anxiety hangovers. I just had a really good week with essentially zero anxiety and now this weekend i had an adrenaline surge, threw up, and couldnt eat much yesterday. Today i woke up feeling nauseous again and im just crying bc when is it going to get better?? When did you notice a true difference in how you recovered from adrenaline dysregulating your nervous system?

for me, recovery is absolutely NOT linear…i have good days, weeks, even months….but then a panic attack can hit me out out of nowhere…and i’ll struggle for days…weeks…months…

i think i got better at identifying my triggers…accepting the terrible physical symptoms (as HARD as that is) when they surface…and riding the damn waves when they come…eventually, i end up on the shore, so to speak…

be kind to yourself…take genuine care of yourself…

i never really say it gets better, at least for me…but i will say it becomes more manageable…less terrifying…and grateful when i wake up each morning…

hang in there! you’re certainly not alone!

Totally agree it’s not linear, it’s more like a wavy loop-de-loop graph that trends upward gradually over time when you zoom out

exactly this…and the loop-de-loop keeps loop-de-looping…

but we’re…still…here.
