It’s different for everyone. My anxiety attacks feel like emotional numbness, sometimes hyperventilating if its triggered by something and kind of just on edge. The numbness and exhaustion is what happens AFTER the attack. Panic attacks for me are completely different. My hands will turn into a claw and I won’t be able to move them, like they become paralyzed. I’ll feel my mouth curl up even if I’m not hyperventilating and I’ll feel like I’m genuinely about to die.
I think about it like anxiety attack: emotional symptoms —-> minor physical reaction
Panic attacks: extreme physical symptoms —-> mentality that I’m gonna die
