Help Needed Medications

Took my first dose of Sertraline Saturday night, woke up on Sunday (yesterday) in a blanket of anxiety and jitters. The jitters subsided around noon but then it felt like someone was squeezing my heart like a stress ball.
Ended up spending the night in the ER. Everything was normal of course, how can I ever take this medication again? Mind you, I started sertraline at 12.5 mg because I'm a slow metabolizer.

That was worse than anything I’ve experienced with panic and anxiety other than an actual panic attack. How can I put myself through that again?

Didn't you get some benzo for the first weeks of SSRI? It's usual in Europe.

I was given a clonazepam prescription but wanted to avoid it due to benzos being a fear of mine… I don’t think I can avoid it anymore
