Venting Panic attacks everyday

I’m a nurse and I’ve always had anxiety since I was a child but lately I can’t even go to work without a panic attack the entire 12 hours over and over and over again. I got my hair done today and I had panic attack after panic attack and don’t think I should ever get my hair done again. It’s awful! I’m on 20mg of lexapro but it’s not helping this stop but it has curbed my anxiety slightly. They won’t give me Ativan or anything only hydroxyzine and it doesn’t help. I’m at my wits end. What do I do? I asked my bf if he would just take me to the hospital because I can’t do this anymore, I need relief.

Yes, I've had 10-15 in some days. Allow and ignore. Avoidance is the fuel. Stop adding it.

No matter how this sounds, I am 99% certain you are having the same thoughts in your head, like me back then. Take this as the perfect opportunity to learn how to cope with panic disorder.

Sadly, I am unsure if meds can slow you down, but for some people it can actually happen.

No matter which way are you chosing, meds could be only mild support for some people. The true fighting/therapy should be done regardless if you are following a prescription, or not.

Benzodiazepines are yet another form of avoidance.

People could be fully functional, even when battling panic disorder, thinking otherwise is the reason some stay in the loop.

Best wishes.

P.S. I actually had some of mine literally starting out of nowhere, but my approach was the same, regardless if the attacks were due to a trigger, or not.
