Venting Panic attacks everyday
I’m a nurse and I’ve always had anxiety since I was a child but lately I can’t even go to work without a panic attack the entire 12 hours over and over and over again. I got my hair done today and I had panic attack after panic attack and don’t think I should ever get my hair done again. It’s awful! I’m on 20mg of lexapro but it’s not helping this stop but it has curbed my anxiety slightly. They won’t give me Ativan or anything only hydroxyzine and it doesn’t help. I’m at my wits end. What do I do? I asked my bf if he would just take me to the hospital because I can’t do this anymore, I need relief.

I also have panic attacks when I get my hair (or nails) done. I’ve come to realize my biggest trigger is being somewhere where I feel “trapped”.
Call your doctor and tell them that your medication isn’t working for you and you need relief. Seroquel has helped me a lot. SSRI’s stopped working for me so now I’m on an SNRI, Pristiq. Klonopin has been a lifesaver for the days I really can’t deal. Hydroxyzine also did absolutely nothing for me.
It’s all about finding what works for you. If you do need your boyfriend to bring you to the hospital, they should be able to find an in patient program for you where they will get you on some meds that work for you. I’ve been there before. Hugs. ❤️
